Young at Heart
My mom is 78 years old, yet she is one of the youngest people I know. The little girl inside of her still loves paperdolls and tea parties and remembers how to laugh and play. She surrounds herself with lovely things and loving people and always carries optimism and joy inside her pocket. What an extraordinary example she is to us all.... and how very much we all love her.

What an extraordinary picture! How wonderful it is to have the ability to be able to play at her age....and the willingness to want to.
How fortunate you all are to have such an incredible woman still with you. May you all have many more such days together! Hugs to all!
That is one of the best photographs I have ever seen! It's one you just want to hang on the fridge to remind you to enjoy life.
pthGreat picture and post.
What a great photograph. That is just how I want to be so I'd better start now!
Oh, I loved this one! Your mom looks like she is having so much fun....as do you in the background laughing at her....I think you were the pusher :-)
Love,
Mellissa
Lori, your mother seems like a burst of sunshine. What a blessing and inspiration she must be! Love to you both!!!
There is one gigantic pet peeve I have and that is how extraordinarily bound we are by convention. How many times has that deprived us of the joy of doing what's in our hearts to do or to say? Life is so amazingly short. Live. Love. Try your hardest to be happy. To your mama I say, "You go , Girl!!" and don't give a damn what anyone thinks! Never EVER act your age!!!!!! I love your daughter......
Thank you all for the sweet comments about my mom. She is an extraordinary woman who absolutely lives JOY. I have learned so much from her.
We had an old gunny sack swing like this one on the farm growing up. This particular one was at the pumpkin patch and we all took a turn! Mel, that's actually my sister who just gave her a push, with her two little girls cheering "Nana" on. I was at the top of the hill with the camera and a big grin on my face.
What a lovely lady and a wonderful spirit. My mother is 77 and though she physically is not able to do this, I have no doubt that in her dreams she skates, runs and swings to her heart's content.
What a lovely picture, spanning over three generations and the oldest person - enjoying so blissfully like she's the youngest of the lot ;) I, too would love to emulate her!
