Happy Birthday, Dad

My Dad was born on August 14, 1927. Today is his 78th birthday. Amongst those who will help him celebrate are six of us "children" and twelve grandchildren.

Sometimes one can write volumes, yet say very little. So I will keep this simple:

You are an amazing man, Dad. To know you is to be acquainted with a man of great integrity and strength, a man who finds humor in life but never at the expense of another. A man of faith and wisdom and loyalty...who has stood beside our mother and all of us through 56 years of change and wonder, struggle and joy. It is an honor to be your daughter, with a heritage and history that makes me proud. Thank you for all the intangible gifts that have made my life sing. I Love You, Dad....

Hi, Lori. Happy Birthday to your Dad! My computer crashed. It's sick with a virus. Am using my husband's but he's really antsy about it. Thanks for your comment. it's always good to hear from you. I would love to come visit you. You sound like you feel isolated, but, to tell you the truth, a little isolation would do me a world of good right now. I'd love to look up into the sky and see the Milky Way and not hear any highway noise. Where exactly do you live? Not sure when my own computer will be returning to me. It's being nursed right now. But keep commenting. I'll catch up with you! Take care.......

Happy Birthday to your Dad! I'm so glad you share such a wonderful affection with your Dad, Lori. My father and I are only now getting to that point.

Thanks for your continued visits. I am doing the same (obviously!) ;)
