Storm Moving In

This storm was to our east and south this evening, but I loved its beautiful intensity with the moon hanging serenely in the calm skies just above the fierce clouds.

The weather alert sounded loudly throughout the house, announcing impending bad weather. Even now, three hours later, I hear its rumbling.

I hope it takes a detour with its grumbly rantings. I really need some sleep tonight.

I have always marveled at how things so fierce can be so hypnotically beautiful.

Hope you're well-rested today :)

Hi, Lori. Your photographs are so beautiful. You really should try to find a publisher.....I love coming to your blog. It' so restful, insightful, relaxing, like honey for the senses......I wish I could find the kind of serenity I feel when I come here. I'm so wired all of the time. My mind never rests, is never satisfied, is constantly seeking, thinking, agonizing. My own persona both defines me and makes me crazy. How does someone get to be like you?? I like me, but I do crave a moment's peace.....I find a bit of that here......

Thanks clew....still not feeling my rested self. I think it comes with the territory once school starts again! Weekends are a blessing! Lance, I always appreciate your comments and am glad you still visit once in awhile. I owe you my photo-posting ability! :-)
Gleyes, thanks for your comments. I'm glad that this is a peaceful place for you to visit. I do have my trials (oh, believe me I do!) but by writing about my blessings and the beauty around me, it brings the positives of my life to the forefront. I'm a pretty laid back person, partly because of my midwestern upbringing, but partly because it is just me. I do worry about things, but I've had some things happen in my life to make me truly try to appreciate what I have and cherish each and every day. I will do my best to continue to bring optimism and peacefulness to this place...
