The Wind Is Passing By

If you've read my blog for any length of time, you know I love the sky. As we were headed for school one morning, we saw these interesting clouds to our northwest, filled with wind and looking like wispy white cyclones against the October-blue sky. I would've loved to pull over and get a better shot of them, but as we were running late I handed the camera to my son who shot these out the car window.

Now I'm wishing we would've stopped. Sometimes it's worth it to be a bit late...

Beatiful photo!

When I have time sometimes I visit a messageboard where airmen that flew and crewed the B-36's during the Cold War gather and recount memories. They speak of flying above those clouds, looking down on them. Flying so high that the sky would blacken and you could see the curve of the Earth!

What I would give to be able to send a camera along with one of them though some "time machine"!

Your son did a great job on this photo!

I love the sky too. When flying back from Texas earlier this month, I saw some awesome clouds.....white, fluffy and they resembled round chimneys with a hole in the center........and my camera was packed away in the carry on bag in one of the overhead compartments......4 seats away from me!

Lori, I'm proud of you for not running off the road! That sky is beautiful! (Looks like your son inherited his mom's love for photography. Good job!)

Your sky is so blue, it ought to be a new Crayola color. I loved Alan's comment about the pilots who flew so high that "the sky would blacken and you could see the curve of the Earth."

Thanks for leaving a comment recently at Macromoments. I'm trying to get back into the groove of writing a couple times a week there.

The sky is a beautiful thing! Or, it's a beautiful bunch of things. Or, it is comprised of beautiful things. Or...well you get the picture.

This is a well done photo of a well done sky! :)
