Prismatic Exhalations

I've had precious little time to write this week and truth be told, have had kinda a rotten day.

So instead of words, I thought I'd share one of the last sunsets of 2005, viewed from my back door.

"I have seen a Kansas sunset
like a vision in a dream,
When a halo was about me
and a glory on the stream
When the birds had ceased their music and the summer day was done
And prismatic exhalations came a drifting from the sun."

--Albert Bigelow Paine

Beautiful, friend!!! I have had a crummy week - you've picked me up by sharing these lovely images.

Hee's to a better rest of the year! (Geez I hope so! LOL!)

Hugs ~

Lovely sunset. We get better sunrises here over the ocean than sunsets. This one is magic.

Clew - sounds like we're both starting off badly...but it's going to get better....I feel it! xoxox

srp - I have never seen a sunrise (or a sunset) over the ocean...unless you count the Gulf of Mexico. I'd love to photograph that! :-)

naive - I'd like to see myself do a book of writings and pictures, too...what a dream come true! *sigh* Thanks for believing in me...

martie - when my mom used to see an unusual or beautiful sunset she would say, "If you painted that, no one would believe it was real." Nothing captures the true essence of a beautiful sunset...but I know what you're saying! And, you're welcome!

rebecca - thanks for your vote of confidence and your kind words, always.

Mellissa - thank you, my friend. I really appreciate that. I'll write to you when I get the time and energy...I'd like that. In the meantime, I am so grateful for your support and friendship. Hugs.

You know that old saying about a picture being worth a thousand word. It would take some beautiful words to buy those. Wow.
